History
This car was delivered new to Grand Prix Motors in Seattle Washington in 1989. The first owner was Microsoft President and COO Jon Shirley. Shirley is an avid Ferrari collector and has one of the greatest Italian car collections in the world. Shirley kept the car for 6 years and added 8,000 miles (see his 1995 AD in the Ferrari Market Letter below.) The car was purchased by Alexander Kovatch, who would own the car for most of its life (19 years, 8k-31k miles) and would keep incredibly meticulous records on the car. Not only does he have every service receipt for the car, but old registrations, parking tickets etc…it is one of the most documented cars we have seen. In July 2014, Kovatch sold the car to Craig Roller, as part of the sale a 30k engine out service took place. Mileage was 31,452. Roller owned the car until 2016 when we purchased it with 33,700 miles. Currently it has just over 34,000 miles.
The exterior is 100% stock, the body is corrosion and rust free. The wheels are original and are in excellent condition and sport newer tires. All exterior lighting, signals, brakes are operational. The car has all of its factory glass intact as well. The car is nearly blemish free and is ding free. All the exterior and rubber and plastic is in nice condition.

Interior
The Interior of the car is clean and shows minimal wear. The cream leather and carpet is in nice shape and shows very little wear. The leather is in nice shape and shows minimal wear. The dash shows no shrinkage. The A/C blows cold. All lighting and controls are operational. The original manual is included, as are two sets of original and factory keys. It has its original parade boot as well as an interior tonneau cover. The soft top is overall nice shape with one very small tear towards the back. The head unit is a period correct Alpine CD player. The OEM jack and toolkit are intact.

Mechanical & Engine bay
The engine bay is very tidy without having been detailed. The car has a feel of one that has always been inside and maintained well. When we purchased the car, we made note of anything that wasn't working properly and took the car to Capitol City European, a marque specialist. They diagnosed and remedied any and all issues including an oil service and inspection.

Summary
This is a very clean, honest and well cared for Mondial T caberolet finished in a very rare and desirable color combination of black and crema and produced in the first model year. Only 372 US cabs were produced and most were red/tan. These are the best evolution of the species and are a fun and affordable Ferrari that are destined to appreciate.
