This car was part of a five 6.3 barn find in northeastern Colorado. The car was purchased from the widow of a cattle rancher who had collected five of the high performance sedans over the years. Mechanically the car was in excellent shape, and so was the original cognac interior. The original dark green metallic paint and interior wood were a little tired, so we re-sprayed the car and refinished all of the interior wood. With its massive 6.3 liter V-8 the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL was the fastest production sedan of 1972. Steve McQueen was the proud owner of a black on black model that is currently for sale for $400,000.
